One chef. One developer. Same person.

Built by a chef in Chicago.

BOH Wiz is a one-person operation. The phone in the contact form rings to me. Not to a queue, not to a chatbot, not to a sales engineer who'll loop me in later.

Why this exists

I worked in restaurants for years before I started writing software. Every kitchen I worked in had the same broken loop: a written prep list on a clipboard, a Sharpie, a roll of masking tape, and a printer in the back office that nobody ever used to label food.

The software companies that tried to fix this charged $10 to $50 a month per location and made you type the product into the printer every time. The label companies sold you 4,000 dissolvable labels and called it a day. Nobody connected the prep list your team is already using to the printer at the prep station. So I built that.

BOH Wiz is the bridge. Tap an item on the prep list, the label prints. The day before that label hits its use-by date, the team gets pinged. That's the whole product. Everything else is a feature on top of those two ideas.

What "small team" actually means

Most B2B software companies tell you they have "white-glove support" and then route you to a ticketing system staffed in three time zones.

When you email hello@bohwiz.com, you get me. When you call 866.626.4949, you get me. When the Zebra printer doesn't pair to a tablet on a Sunday morning, you get me. That's the trade. You don't get an enterprise sales team. You also don't get bounced through a tier-one help desk reading from a script. There is no script.

A few customers have asked if this is sustainable. The answer: it works because the product is small and well-defined. We're not trying to build SAP. We're trying to make sure your line cook can print a prep label without typing it.
